About Tier One Professionals
Tier One Professionals, in short TOP, is a small Dutch company located in Amsterdam providing Project management services.
Large organizations face challenges on many levels in achieving success due to inadequate project management. Our vision to start a PMO specialized company was driven by the desire to provide genuine good PMO professionals, as good professionals make a difference by being dependable and solid specialists. Our professionals can assist senior management in such a way that they can trust and rely on professionals performing the PMO role.
Our clients are mostly large financial institutions based in the Netherlands, and our project managers have led or participated in projects related to Financial Risk (Basel, IFRS9), Risk, Finance, Compliance, FEC, and KYC.
Our company name implies that we have top-tier professionals, and we have a very strict internal policy regarding PMO levels. Some companies provide senior project managers with more than five years of experience. For simple projects, this would do. However, in large organisations, this is simply insufficient, which leads to inadequate project management. Hoever, this is not immediately noticeable, as in the land of the blind, the one-eyed man is king.
Within TOP we use 5 levels of PMO professionals:
- Trainee; about <1 year experience and is <30 years old
- Junior; >1 year experience and is <30 years old
- Medior; >5 years experience and is between 30 and 45 years old
- Senior; >15 years experience and is able to manage large change portfolios, large programmes or/large projects and is >45 years old
- Executive; a Senior project manager with >20 years experience and are able to report to MB and/or MB-1 and is >50 years old
